USGA U.S. OPEN LOCAL QUALIFYING

All entries for the 2008 USGA U.S. Open Championship MUST be received AT THE OFFICES OF THE USGA by no later than 5:00 P.M. EASTERN TIME (4:00 P.M. CENTRAL TIME) on Wednesday, APRIL 23, 2008.  

Players wishing to enter the 2008 USGA U.S. Open Championship may do so by clicking on the section of this website entitled "Related Websites" and then clicking on "U.S. Open Championship Entry Blank."    Once there a player can either download a paper entry blank (which MUST be mailed to the USGA offices) OR may enter on-line using a major credit card as the form of payment.

The practice range and the putting green will be open at 6:30 a.m. for those contestants in the 2008 U.S. Open Local Qualifying at Blue Mound Golf & Country Club.

Complimentary range balls will be provided to each contestant in the 2008 U.S. Open Local Qualifying at Blue Mound Golf & Country Club prior to their qualifying round.

All players will tee off of Hole #1, with the first tee-time being 8:00 a.m.    Players will be paired in groupings of three.     Ten minute intervals will be used between tee times.

Players MUST be at their starting hole ( the 1st Tee), READY TO PLAY at their appointed STARTING TIME.    IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PLAYER TO BE AT HIS STARTING HOLE, READY TO PLAY AT HIS APPOINTED STARTING TIME.   

**Contestants SHOULD CHECK-IN at the starting tent on the 1st tee NO LATER THAN 5 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR APPOINTED STARTING TIME!

The play-off for the last qualifying place(s) and/or alternates will start from a designated tee immediately after completion of the Local qualifying round. Play-off Holes will be determined by the Committee and posted the day of the 2008 U.S. Open Local Qualifying round at Blue Mound Golf & Country Club.
