The field will close at 208 acceptable entries or 5:00 P.M. on Friday, May 30th, 2008.     Late, incomplete or phone entries are not acceptable. FAX entries are acceptable ONLY if using a credit card as method of payment. The WSGA Fax Number is (414) 443-0817.

Priority into the Championship will be given to Rated Players using the 2007 WSGA Men's Amateur Player of the Year Rating list, and/or entrants who have a Handicap Index of 6.0 or less, that is in effect on the date the entry is received.

If the field is over-subscribed, all other spots in the field will be lottery drawn on Monday, June 2nd, 2008.

Mon, Jun 16, 2008 6:30 AM - 1:00 PM 1st Round Registration

All contestants MUST register at the WSGA Registration tent at WESTMOOR COUNTRY CLUB NO LATER THAN 7:30 A.M. for the morning SHOTGUN START or 1:00 P.M. for the afternoon SHOTGUN START.

Important tournament information and tournament gifts will be handed out at the Tournament Registration tent.

Mon, Jun 16, 2008 6:30 AM Practice Facilities Open

The Driving Range and Practice Putting Green at Westmoor Country Club will open for contestants in the 2008 WSGA Governor's Cup at approximately 6:30 a.m.

Mon, Jun 16, 2008 7:40 AM - 1:15 PM Announcements & Shotgun Starts

MORNING STARTERS:
Contestants playing in the morning will be given final announcements regarding the event and then proceed to their respective starting holes from 7:45 a.m. until 7:55 a.m.   Those players playing in the morning will begin play at 8:00 a.m. using a shotgun start.  
Those players playing in the morning MUST be at their starting tees AND READY TO PLAY by 8:00 a.m.

AFTERNOON STARTERS:
Contestants playing in the AFTERNOON will be given final announcements regarding the event and then proceed to their respective starting holes from 1:05 p.m. until 1:15 p.m.   Those players playing in the AFTERNOON will begin play at 1:15 p.m. using a shotgun start.   Those players playing in the AFTERNOON MUST be at their starting tees AND READY TO PLAY by 1:15 p.m.

Mon, Jun 16, 2008 8:00 AM - 6:15 PM 1st Round of Championship

Contestants in the 2008 WSGA Governor's Cup Championship will play their 1st round (18 holes) either in the morning (8:00 A.M. Shotgun Start) or in the afternoon (1:15 P.M. Shotgun Start).

Mon, Jun 16, 2008 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM Lunch Available at Westmoor CC

Lunch will be available in the clubhouse at Westmoor Country Club for contestants in the 2008 WSGA Governor's Cup Championship.

Contestants MUST pay for their own lunch.   Lunch is NOT included in the Entry Fee.

Mon, Jun 16, 2008 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Cocktails and Hors D' ouevres

There will be a Cocktail Hour from approximately 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Westmoor Country Club for contestants in the 2008 WSGA Governor's Cup Championship.    Complimentary Hors D'ouevres will be served during this Cocktail Hour.

Contestants MUST pay for their own drinks during this Cocktail Hour. 

Mon, Jun 16, 2008 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM Contestants Dinner

ALL contestants in the 2008 WSGA Governor's Cup Championship are invited to attend the Contestants Dinner, to be held Monday night at 7:00 P.M. at the Westmoor Country Club.

The cost of the Contestants Dinner IS INCLUDED in the players entry fee.

Be sure to indicate ON YOUR ENTRY AND WHEN REGISTERING at the tournament site as to whether or not you will attend this Contestants Dinner.

Tue, Jun 17, 2008 7:00 PM - 7:15 PM Awards Ceremony & Presentation

A brief awards ceremony will take place at Westmoor Country Club immediately after the Final round of the 2008 WSGA Governor's Cup Championship.

At the ceremony, the overall champions for both Gross score and Net score will be presented with the Championship trophies.

Prizes will also be given out to age division winners in BOTH Gross and Net categories.    Low gross and low net prizes will be awarded in the following three age groups: (40-44), (45-49), and (50-54).      The winner will have his name engraved on the WSGA Governor's Cup (Pre-Senior) Championship Trophy.   There will also be an over-all Low Net Champion.
