WSGA Senior Bestball (Four-Ball) Championship

The field will close at 112 acceptable teams or at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, July 7th, 2008.   Late, incomplete or phone entries are not acceptable. FAX entries are acceptable ONLY if using a credit card as method of payment.

All entries MUST be received AT THE WSGA OFFICE, or on-line, by no later than 5:00 P.M. on Monday, July 7th, 2008.

The Practice range at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms will open at 6:30 A.M. for contestants in the 2008 WSGA Senior Best-Ball Championship. The range will close after the afternoon Shotgun start tees off (approx. 1:15 P.M.). These hours of range operation will be in effect for Monday and Tuesday.   

The practice range at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms is several hundred yards from the clubhouse AND CARTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO BE TAKEN TO THE PRACTICE RANGE!    Contestants should allow for plenty of time to get to and from the range, to hit practice balls and/or chips, etc. before their competitive rounds.

Complimentary range balls will be provided to all contestants in the 2008 WSGA Senior BestBall Championship prior to their competitive rounds.

All Contestants in the 2008 WSGA Senior BestBall Championship MUST register with the WSGA Tournament Committee at the WSGA Registration Tent at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms.

Contestants in the Morning Shotgun Start (8:00 A.M.) MUST register by NO LATER THAN 7:40 A.M.

Contestants in the Afternoon Shotgun Start (1:30 P.M.) MUST register by NO LATER THAN 1:10 P.M.

Half of the field will tee off in the morning Shotgun (8:00 A.M.) and the other half of the field will tee off in the afternoon Shotgun (1:00 P.M.).

Teams will be RE-PAIRED for the second round based upon first round gross best-ball score and informed of their starting places. HIGHER HALF OF GROSS SCORES WILL PLAY MORNING SHIFT.     LOWER HALF OF GROSS SCORES WILL PLAY IN THE AFTERNOON SHIFT.     NO CHANGES!

A Buffet-style Lunch will be set-up in the "Heritage House" at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms for ALL contestants in the 2008 WSGA Senior Best-Ball Championship.

The cost of this lunch IS INCLUDED in each players entry fee.

There will be a Cocktail Hour from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in the "Heritage House" at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms for ALL contestants in the 2008 WSGA Senior Best-Ball Championship

Complimentary Hors D'ouevres will be served during this Cocktail Hour.     Contestants MUST pay for their own beverages.

All contestants are invited to attend a Contestant's Dinner in the "Heritage House" at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms on Monday evening, July 28th, 2008.    There is no cost for this Contestant's Dinner for any contestant in the 2008 WSGA Senior Best-Ball Championship.  The cost of the dinner IS INCLUDED in each players entry fee.

Each contestant will also be asked, when registering at the Championship site, whether or not they will be attending the Monday evening Contestants Dinner.

Contestants in the 2008 WSGA Senior BestBall Championship MUST register for the 2nd round with the WSGA Tournament Committee at the WSGA Registration Tent at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms

Higher Half of the field from Monday will tee off in the morning Shotgun (8:00 A.M.) and the Lower half of the field from Monday will tee off in the afternoon Shotgun (1:00 P.M.).

A Buffet-style Lunch will be set-up in the "Heritage House" at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms for ALL contestants in the 2008 WSGA Senior Best-Ball Championship.

The cost of this lunch IS INCLUDED in each players entry fee.

A brief awards ceremony will take place in front of the tournament scoreboard at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms immediately following the Final round on Tuesday afternoon honoring the Champions & top Gross and Net two-man teams in both age divisions: SENIORS & SUPER-SENIORS in the 2008 WSGA Senior Best-Ball Championship.
