WSGA Junior Boy's Champ. Presented by CULVER'S

The field will close at 192 acceptable entries or by 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 16th, 2008.   Late or incomplete entries, or FAX copies, are not acceptable.   Priority will be based upon the 2007 WPGA "Junior Boys Player of the Year" Rating list.   Any remaining openings (for those players without any 2007 WPGA Junior Boys POY rating points) will be determined on a lottery basis, which will take place on Thursday, July 17th, 2008.  

All Rated Players must submit their entry by Thursday, July 10th, 2008 in order to retain priority consideration.

Nakoma Golf Club does NOT have a Driving Range.    Nakoma Golf Club DOES have a Putting/Chipping Green.      Arrangements will be made with the nearby VITENSE GOLFLAND for contestants in the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship presented by Culver's to hit balls at VITENSE GOLFLAND.   Contestants in the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship presented by Culver's will be able to go to VITENSE GOLFLAND and hit practice balls prior to their competitive rounds in the Championship AT NO COST TO THE CONTESTANTS.

Contestants in the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship Presented by CULVER'S MUST register at the WSGA TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION AREA no later than 15 MINUTES prior to their appointed tee time.

Contestants in the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship Presented by CULVER'S will receive important tournament information, lunch tickets, and tournament gifts from TaylorMade Golf and/or Maxfli Golf AND the WSGA.

Contestants in the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship Presented by CULVER'S will tee off of either Hole #1 or Hole #10 for their 1st 18-hole round.

Half of the field will tee off in the morning (A.M.) and half of the field will tee off in the afternoon (P.M.).

Lunch will be provided (at NO  cost - included in Entry Fee) to EACH contestant in the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship Presented by CULVER'S.   Contestants will be given a LUNCH TICKET each day of the Championship, provided they remain an ACTIVE participant in the Championship.   The lunches will be served in the clubhouse at NAKOMA GOLF CLUB EACH DAY OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP FROM 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.

CONTESTANTS MUST PRESENT THEIR LUNCH TICKETS IN ORDER RECEIVE LUNCH.

Parents AND/OR spectators will be able to purchase Lunch Tickets, snacks and beverages from NAKOMA GOLF CLUB or purchase food off of the menu at NAKOMA GOLF CLUB.

Contestants in the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship Presented by CULVER'S will tee off of either Hole #1 or Hole #10 for their 2nd 18-hole round.     Those contestants that started on Hole #1 for their 1st round will start on Hole #10 for their 2nd round. Those contestants that started on Hole #10 for their 1st round will start on Hole #1 for their 2nd round.

After two 18-hole rounds (36 holes) the field will be CUT to the low 84 players and ties, who will compete in the third round (Final round).    ***Those contestants who are 14 years old or younger should check with the Tournament Committee to see if they have made the "Cut" for the 14 & Under Age Division.***

The CULVER'S Long Drive Contest will take place at NAKOMA GOLF CLUB at approximately 5:30 P.M.

The contest is ONLY for contestants in the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship Presented by CULVER'S.   THERE IS NO COST FOR CONTESTANTS TO ENTER THIS CONTEST.   Golf Balls will be provided by the WSGA and EACH contestant will get 3 attempts.

Awards will be given to the 15-18 year old Age Division Champion and Runner-Up, as well as the 14 & Under Age Division Champion.

After ALL 192 players have finished their 2nd rounds (36 Holes), the field will be CUT to the LOW 84 players, plus ties for 84th place, for the final round of the Championship on Wednesday, August 6th, 2008.

Players who are 14 & Under who do NOT make the CUT score should check with the WSGA Tournament Committee regarding the possibility of their making a "special" 14 & Under Age Division CUT and being added to the Final round field.

Those players that survive the 36-Hole CUT will play their 3rd round (Final round) in the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship Presented by CULVER'S .

The Lower half of the field will tee off of Hole #1, while the Higher half of the field will tee off of Hole #10.   The 1st Tee-time for the final round will be 7:30 A.M., and the last Tee-time will be 9:30 A.M.

A brief awards ceremony will take place in front of the scoreboard at NAKOMA GOLF CLUB immediately following the Final round honoring the Champion & top finishers of the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship Presented by CULVER'S.  

If possible, a representative of CULVER'S will be on hand during Wednesday afternoon's Awards ceremony.   Culver's Frozen Custard will also be provided to all contestants playing in the Final round of the 2008 WSGA State Junior Boy's Championship Presented by CULVER'S after they have finished their Final round.
