"One-Ball Rule" In Effect

NOTE! THE OPTIONAL CONDITIONS AS PRESCRIBED IN APPENDIX I, PART C-1(b) & (c) OF THE 2008-2009 USGA RULES OF GOLF BOOK SHALL BE IN EFFECT!

THE BALL A PLAYER USES SHALL BE NAMED ON THE CURRENT LIST OF CONFORMING GOLF BALLS ISSUED BY THE USGA.

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF RULE:    DISQUALIFICATION

 THE SO-CALLED "ONE-BALL" RULE WILL BE IN EFFECT AT THE 2008 USGA U.S. SENIOR AMATEUR SECTIONAL QUALIFYING.

DURING A STIPULATED ROUND, THE BALL(S) A PLAYER USES MUST BE OF THE SAME BRAND AND MODEL AS DETAILED BY A SINGLE ENTRY ON THE MOST CURRENT LIST OF CONFORMING GOLF BALLS.

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF RULE:    2 (TWO) STROKES FOR EACH HOLE WHERE VIOLATION OCCURS. MAXIMUM PENALTY PER ROUND IS 4 (FOUR) STROKES.

Caddie/Cart Information

PLAYERS MAY CARRY THEIR OWN CLUBS, BRING THEIR OWN CADDIE OR USE A MOTORIZED CART (AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE).   MEADOWBROOK COUNTRY CLUB may have a limited number of club caddies.     A Motorized Cart is part of players equipment.  

Players wishing to reserve a motorized cart for their own caddie, or would like a club caddie from MEADOWBROOK COUNTRY CLUB SHOULD CALL THE PRO SHOP AT 1-262-637-7461.

Those players who would like to use a motorized cart should know that cart use on the course at MEADOWBROOK COUNTRY CLUB MAY BE limited in the event weather conditions would cause such a limitation.

Deadline for Entries

All entries for the 2008 USGA U.S. Senior Amateur Championship MUST be received AT THE OFFICES OF THE USGA by no later than 5:00 P.M. EASTERN TIME (4:00 P.M. CENTRAL TIME) on Wednesday, AUGUST 6, 2008.  

Players wishing to enter the 2008 USGA U.S. Senior Amateur Championship may do so by clicking on the section of this website entitled "Related Websites" and then clicking on "U.S. Senior Amateur Championship Entry Blank."    Once there a player can either download a paper entry blank (which MUST be mailed to the USGA offices) OR may enter on-line using a major credit card as the form of payment.

Electronic Measuring Devices

The use of an ELECTRONIC MEASURING DEVICE is NOT permitted in ANY portion of ANY USGA Championship or Qualifying round.

Format of Competition

The format of this competition will be 18 holes of Stroke Play at MEADOWBROOK COUNTRY CLUB.    The number of qualifying spots allocated to this qualifying site will be posted on this Tournament Information page when the USGA makes that information available.

A playoff to determine the final qualifying Spot(s) and/or alternate spot(s) will be held immediately upon completion the 18-Hole Stroke Play qualifying round on a hole-by-hole basis.

Number of Qualifying Spots

The USGA has not yet established the number of qualifying spots for the 2008 Wisconsin Senior Amateur Sectional Qualifying at MEADOWBROOK COUNTRY CLUB on Wednesday, August 27, 2008.

We will also determine at least 2 (Two) Alternates.

Practice Round Information

Contestants in the 2008 USGA U.S. SENIOR AMATEUR QUALIFYING should contact the pro shop at MEADOWBROOK COUNTRY CLUB at 1-262-637-7461 to inquire about making arrangements for a practice round.

Any fees for a practice round must be paid for by the contestants themselves.  MEADOWBROOK COUNTRY CLUB IS A PRIVATE COUNTRY CLUB AND ACCESS TO THE CLUB IS EXTREMELY LIMITED!
