| "One-Ball Rule" In Effect | NOTE! THE OPTIONAL CONDITIONS AS PRESCRIBED IN APPENDIX I, PART C-1(b) & (c) OF THE 2008-2009 USGA RULES OF GOLF BOOK SHALL BE IN EFFECT! THE SO-CALLED "ONE-BALL" RULE WILL BE IN EFFECT AT THE 2008 USGA U.S. MID-AMATEUR SECTIONAL QUALIFYING. DURING A STIPULATED ROUND, THE BALL(S) A PLAYER USES MUST BE OF THE SAME BRAND AND MODEL AS DETAILED BY A SINGLE ENTRY ON THE MOST CURRENT LIST OF CONFORMING GOLF BALLS. |
| Caddie/Cart Information | PLAYERS MUST WALK AT ALL TIMES DURING THEIR STIPULATED ROUND. Players may carry their own clubs or bring their own caddie. A golf cart may be used to carry clubs ONLY, AND a driver must be provided AND is considered to be the players caddie. A player may not ride in cart once play has officially begun, or use it for surveying purposes. A Cart is part of players equipment. Those players, whose caddie would like to use a motorized cart should know that cart use on the course at GENEVA NATIONAL GOLF CLUB MAY BE restricted in the event weather conditions would cause such a limitation. |
| Deadline for Entries | All entries for the 2008 USGA U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship MUST be received AT THE OFFICES OF THE USGA by no later than 5:00 P.M. EASTERN TIME (4:00 P.M. CENTRAL TIME) on Wednesday, JULY 16, 2008. Players wishing to enter the 2008 USGA U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship may do so by clicking on the section of this website entitled "Related Websites" and then clicking on "U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship Entry Blank." Once there a player can either download a paper entry blank (which MUST be mailed to the USGA offices) OR may enter on-line using a major credit card as the form of payment. |
| Electronic Measuring Devices |
The use of an ELECTRONIC MEASURING DEVICE is NOT permitted in ANY portion of ANY USGA Championship or Qualifying round. |
| Format of Competition | The format of this competition will be 18 holes (One 18-Hole stipulated round) of Stroke Play ON THE TREVINO COURSE at GENEVA NATIONAL GOLF CLUB. The number of qualifying spots allocated to this qualifying site will be posted on this Tournament Information page when the USGA makes that information available. |

| Number of Qualifying Spots | The USGA will NOT have available the number of Qualifying Spots until after the entry deadline. We will also determine at least 2 (Two) Alternates. |
| Practice Round Information | Contestants in the 2008 USGA U.S. Mid-Amateur Sectional Qualifying at GENEVA NATIONAL GOLF CLUB (Trevino Course) should contact the pro shop at Geneva National Golf Club at 1-262-245-7012 to inquire about making arrangements for a practice round. Contestants should make sure to play the Trevino Course at Geneva National Golf Club during their Practice round. NOTE: Any fees for a practice round must be paid for by the contestants themselves. |
| US Mid-Am Championship Site | The 2008 USGA U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship will be held September 6-11, 2008 at the Milwaukee Country Club & Brown Deer Park Golf Course right here in RIVER HILLS, WISCONSIN! Any playoff and all matches will be played at Milwaukee Country Club starting on September 8th, 2008. |
