The field for the Championship will consist of 180 players. An 18-hole stroke-play round will be played on Monday June 9th, 2008 on the Links Course at The Golf Courses of Lawsonia to determine the sixty-four players to make up the match-play field.
The defending champion must qualify, but if his score is higher than the score required to gain a position in the match-play field, he will then be assigned the last spot in the match-play draw.
SIXTY-FOUR (64) qualifiers will compete in the Match Play Championship to determine the champion. Any tie(s) for the last spot(s) in the Match Play field shall be decided immediately upon completion of the June 9th, 2008 qualifying round by a hole-by-hole play-off if time permits, or as determined by the Tournament Committee. |
